The last nights the tracks of Poland's Bieg Piastow, the 6th FIS Worldloppet Cup stage, got 10 cm of fresh snow. And the snowfalls are continuing. For now aproximately 40 cm snow is covering the woods and landscapes of the Polish Worldloppet. It's still snowing and weather forecast predicts another 10-15 cm of fresh snow. Temperatures are freezing, now about -5° C.
For now we have about 45 km of prepared tracks in Szklarska Poreba. After tonight's snowfalls they should extend to 55-60 km. Main race now is planned to run on a 51 km course, but with this great weather circumstances it still could be on the original 54 km trakcs. Anyhow, all distanses are secured! A great winter weekend of cross country skiing awaits us!
