Thirty-eight millimeters of rain have fallen so far on the Ushuaia Loppet course.  The rains have also elevated the level of the Lashifashaj River en The Valley of Tierra Mayor, raising its flow substantially, and resulting in the river overflowing its banks as well as bridges along the race course.

The forecast calls for a cessation to the rains accompanied by falling temperatures.  Consequently, the Race Organization plans to prepare a shortened course that will allow a 42 KM Ushuaia Loppet.  The trail crew will work Thursday and Friday on the course in order to achieve the best possible conditions and still permit the stamping of Worldloppet Passports for skiers.
