Russians defend their home turf at Demino Skimarathon

About two thousand skiers from 19 countries of the world and 60 regions of Russia took part in the main race of the Demino Skimarathon today. Among them are Olympic champions, professional athletes and also a lot of Worldloppet masters.

As a result, the Russian skiers were able to defend their home turf. Both podiums, the men’s and ladie’s are full with Russians.

Konstantin Glavatskikh, Andrey Parfenov, Alexey Petukhov became the best among men. They overcame the track in 1:52:38. Victory places distributed hundredths of a second. “This is my first victory at Demino Marathon. I was already the second here, now I managed to win. It is very cool, ”said Konstantin Glavatskikh at the finish.

Among women, Alena Perevozchikova became the leader of the race, her result was 2:00:22. On the second place, we find Svetlana Kuznetsova with a score of 2:01:16 and local athlete from Yaroslavl, Svetlana Nikolaeva is on the third place with a time of 2:01:29.
