Perfect conditions on the tracks, a new start and finish arena, great interest – this is the situation three weeks before the main competitions of the 47th Bieg Piastów – the Polish Worldloppet race.

On the starting lists 5500 competitors from 24 countries, including 1700 for 25 km CT, 1400 for 50 km CT and over 500 for 30 km FT. These three races, included in Wordloppet, will take place on the first weekend of March. If you want to come to Bieg Piastów earlier, you can also take part in the “small” races that will take place a week earlier. Brubeck Night 12, which will take place on Monday, February 27, will provide a special experience.

The start and finish of Bieg Piastów will take place at Polana Jakuszycka in Szklarska Poręba, and the tracks will lead the competitors to the most beautiful places of the Jizera Mountains. The start and finish as well as the entire back-up facilities of the competition, including the start number distributing office, are located in a new facility – Lower Silesian Sports Center – Polana Jakuszycka. It was built at the cost of PLN 291 million from the funds of the regional and state government. There are changing rooms, lockers for clothes, gastronomy, showers, toilets, a hotel and a hostel, a swimming pool, a sports hall, a climbing wall, and conference rooms. The new building provides very good service conditions for the participants of Bieg Piastów.

Part of the event will be the 1st Winter Sports Forum with the participation of representatives of Wordloppet, managers of large sports facilities and sponsors of Bieg Piastów – the largest Polish enterprises.
