Registrations are open for the “new” Finlandia Hiihto 2022
The organizers of the Finlandia Hiihto have used the easter weekend to open the registrations for 2022’s edition of the Finnish Worldloppet race taking place in Lahti.
In order to improve the Worldloppet winter calendar the Finlandia Hiihto was moved to Saturday the 12th February and Sunday the 13th February 2022. On Saturday the Classic events will take place and Sunday is skating day.
Also the distances are new in Lahti. We were used to a 50 km race course for the Worldloppet gold status. Now the long distance race is leading over a 65 km course. This new course was tested earlier this year in the Virtual Finlandia and the organizers received some positive feedback and have continued to develop the course.
