6000 participants expected at this weekend’s Bieg Piastow
More than 6000 skiers from 31 countries participate in 42 Bieg Piastow – Crosscountry Skiing Festival this weekend. The main part of this event will take place tomorrow, Saturday: The 50 km CT Worldlopet race.
On the start list for this main race are almost 1700 skiers. Bieg Piastow is organized in Izera Mountains on the natural tracks which are in great conditions: frost, snow and sun. On the start list we can find some very strong racers: The Czech stars Adela Boudikova and Klara Moravcova, Polish young power Urszula Letocha and Kamila Boczkowska, as well as winner of the Dolomiten Classicrace 2018 Reeda Tuula (EST). In the men competition we will see in action former German winner of Bieg Piastow Toni Escher and Jan Antolec expierenced in Polish national team. Today the 30 km FT Worldoppet took place & on Sunday the 25 km Worldloppet silver race is on the program.
