Skifestival in Czech Republic: Jizerská 50
Do you know what you will be doing during the second weekend of January 2016? We would recomend to spend the weekend in Czech Republic, in the Jizera Mountains, the home of Jizerská 50. Up to 7 000 racers from 31 different countries traditionally participate at Czech’s biggest cross country skiing race. Registration for the race that will take place in the period from 8 to 10 January 2016 is fully under way and it is high time to enter the race. Moreover, the organisers have prepared several innovations for the forthcoming annual edition of the race.
The offer of Jizerska 50 comprises seven races in total. Friday will be enjoyed by children for whom 5 race tracks of different lengths will be prepared as well as by the racers who will compete on the 30-kilometre track in free style. Sprinters will start immediately after them in a double pole technique 1.5 kilometre race.
On Saturday, some of the racers will take delight in the snow-covered countryside on a 25-kilometre track in the morning. Parents together with children as well as absolute beginners who would not yet dare to tackle the longer tracks will also be able to race in Bedrichov because a new 10 km race will be added to Jizerska 50 this year.
Sunday will see the climax of Jizerska 50, which will be the 50 km race. Professionals as well as racers for whom the 50 km track is a big challenge will be dashing along the race track that will be demanding but certainly beautiful like it is every year.
There are two ways how to register for any of the races taking place during the weekend of Jizerska 50: either online on the website or in the retail stores of the Hervis chain throughout the Czech Republic with a discount of 10 %. The last chance to register is available on site on the day preceding the race – however, in that case, the registration entry fee is significantly higher.
Less than one fifth of the limited starting field of 7000 participants remains available!
