Good chances for Dolomitenlauf on original track in Lienz
Already for some days cross-country skiers are enjoying perfectly groomed tracks and a winter wonderland in Obertilliach, East Tyrol/Austria. Several national teams are using the venue of Dolomitenlauf’s skating events for their season preparation. On Saturday 21st January Obertilliach is going to host the Dolomitenlauf Lienz Skating race (42/20 km) again.
But also down in the valley the fist snow has been falling and covered the city of Lienz and its surroundings in white. For the upcoming days more – partly even heavy – snowfalls are predicted. This should allow cross-country skiing on the Dolomiten tracks around Lienz already for the Christmas time. This would be a great basis for the Dolomitenlauf Classic race to take place on the original track. It is an easy track, doable for every skier, passing six villages and finishes on the main square in Lienz. There, every participant would receive the Dolomitenlauf Lienz medal. According to the organizer’s motto “everyone a winner over themselves”, everyone gets honored.
The goal of Dolomitenlauf Lienz OC is offering an attractive program which is challenging but also has a social value.
