French victory party at Dolomitenlauf 2023 skating races

What started as a ice cold winter day with minus 12 degrees, turned out as a perfect kick-off for the European Worldloppet season 2023: The Dolomitenlauf 2023 skating races have been taking place in Obertilliach today and the big winners are the French men.

Thank to the sunshine, the freezing temperatures were climbing up a little bit and the circumstances couldn’t have been better for the first day of Dolomitenlauf 2023: Fresh snow covered the trees and mountains, the tracks were in perfect shape and the 600 skiers were starving for racing. The victories in the main races, both for the ladies and the men, go to the Grande Nation:

In the men’s race a group of 7 top-athletes from France and Skandinavia has shared the leading work, until Simon Perruche started the rocket on the final hill and sprinted to victory ahead of compatriots Yan Belorgey and Elie Faret, all three from France. “It is like a dream to stand on this podium, together with my team colleagues. Specially, as this is my first time here at Dolomitenlauf.”, say the winner.

Same picture in the ladies’ competition, where Emilie Bulle took the victory more than two minutes ahead of Celine Chopard Lallier and Oceane Bepoix.
