Tartu Maraton keeps on with the wide range programme

In February 2015 the 43rd Tartu Maraton will be held in South-Estonia. Open Track, Relay Marathon, Children’s races and the main distances plus the high-quality ski tracks welcome the participants. Different accommodation packages are offered both to take part in the main distances as well as the side events.

 

The main distances of the marathon are held on the 15th of February. Skiers can choose between 63 and 31 km distances in classic technique, the marathon course runs between the Estonian Winter Capital Otepää and a small town Elva, situated 25 km from Tartu. A day before, on the 14th of February, the popular children’s events are held. The organizers encourage coming to the marathon with the whole family and visiting also other attractive places in Tartu – such as Ahhaa Science Centre, Aura SPA and Water Park, Tartu Toy Museum. A week before the main distances, on the 8th of February, Open Track with 63, 31 and 16 km distances as well as the Relay Marathon will be held. Tartu Maraton is a member of Worldloppet, as well as one of the oldest ski marathons in the World, first held in 1960. The marathon events bring together more than 10 000 skiers to enjoy the beautiful landscape of South-Estonia.
