A quite busy weekend is awaiting us! On the one side of the great ocean the American Birkebeiner is standing on the program, on the other side, the Finlandia Hiihto.

Nobody can complain about missing winter in Wisconsin/USA. Fresh snow falls on already a good layer of snow have been accompanied by freezing temperatures of about minus 20 degrees. The tracks of American Birkebeiner, as one can imagine are in great shape and just wait for the thousands of participants.

The same counts for the tracks of Finlandia Hiihto. In Lahti the temperatures are not that low, but still under 0 and also here fresh snow has arrived over the past days. Tomorrow and on Sunday about 4500 skiers will participate in distances between 20km and 63km in both techniques.
