SEB 16th Tartu Rattamaraton is breaking records this year
Record number of participants are expected for the SEB 16th Tartu Rattamaraton in Estonia this Sunday. According to the Wednesdays mornings count a total of 5392 riders have registered for the race.
Last year a total of 5377 riders registered for the event. Record for the number of entries dates back to 2011 when there was a total of 5414 entrants for the SEB Tartu Rattamaraton.
Organizers are expecting record number of entries because the registration for the event is still open until Saturday.
Record for the number of participants dates also back to 2011 when a total of 4925 mountain bike riders finished the race. This year the organizers are hoping to reach the magical number of 5000 participants for the first time in the history of Tartu Rattamaraton.
SEB Tartu Rattamaraton is the third biggest mountain bike marathon in the world. There are two distances – 89km and 40km race which both start in Otepää and finish in Elva. Track of the mountain bike marathon follows similar path to the legendary Tartu Ski Marathon.
