The winner of the 3rd Tartu Inline Sprint is Alfredo Moreno

Alfredo Moreno from Venezuela won the 3rd Tartu Inline Sprint after beating the competitors from Estonia, Latvia and Ukraine.

Moreno also won the sprint competition two years ago, in 2011. Back then and also today he showed his power on the 500-meters track. Although he was left behind in the beginning, there was no one to compete him in the final spurt.

Moreno, the member of the Estonian team Uus Maa/Rullibaas, was modest while he commented the race: “I worked really hard for the victory during the whole season and the competition is very strong.“ „The plan is to win also tomorrow, it is important to stay in front with the whole team“. SEB 7th Tartu Rulluisumaraton will be held on Sunday.

Jaan Saks, teammate of Moreno, took second place and was the best Estonian. “The competition was very strong. Of course, Moreno is of its own class and it is very hard to beat him,” Saks said. “The final gap between us was not very big, but the difference of the energy put in the race, was huge. I was on my limit, Moreno took it much more easily,” he added.

Commenting the SEB 7. Tartu Rulluisumaraton to be held tomorrow, Saks also pointed out the importance of team work and hoped that Uus Maa/Rullibaas will succeed again.

Third place went to Latvia to Roberts Pundurs.

In women’s qualifications Estonian Enel Korva showed the fastest time, but in the finals skaters from Ukraine and Belarus were faster. Korva had to settle for the fourth place.

Anna Muzyka from Ukraine took first place, second was Marina Zuevat (Belarus) and third Vladislava Zamulat (Ukraine).
