Club Tartu Maraton celebrates 2nd FIS World Snow Day!
On the 20th January, in 39 countries with 435 registered events 2nd FIS World Snow Day will be celebrated. Club Tartu Maraton also takes part in the celebrations offering fun children’s races at Tehvandi, Otepää right on the legendary Tartu Maraton track.
The children races have three distances: 500m, 2km and 3km. And of course, mascots of the children’s races will visit the children also
Right after that, at noon, official training for the 42nd Tartu Maraton (held on February 17th 2013) will start. So it will be a day full of joy of skiing – a true World Snow Day celebration.
World Snow Day is a part of the ‘Bring Children to the Snow’ campaign. It seeks to motivate children aged from 4-14 by encouraging all stakeholders to celebrate all things snow around the world simultaneously.
