Fabian Stocek and Jessie Diggins win Merino Muster 2023
Exciting News from New Zealand’s Snow Farm: US ski superstar Jessie Diggins wins the Merino Muster 2023. Czech Skimarathon pro Fabian Stocek took the victory in the men’s class.
What an incredible day it has been at the Snow Farm for the the Merino Muster! The international starting field enjoyed New Zealands mountains under sunshine and on a well prepared alternative race course.

Today all eyes have been on US skistar Jessie Diggins. The Olympic Gold Medalist already has won the Merino Muster 4 times and now adds a 5th victory to her trophy gallery. She and her team mates are currently training in New Zealand – among them: Julia Kern, who became second, only 5 seconds behind Diggins. The third place goes to Sweden, to Linnea Magnusson.

The fastest skier today was Fabian Stocek from Czech Republic. The winner of König Ludwig Lauf 2023 now can add another trophy to his Worldloppet collection. He finished seven seconds ahead of the German Christian Winker. Quinn Wilson from the USA is hopping on the third podium spot.

Jessie Diggins announcing participation in Worldloppet
Jessie Diggins has some exciting news to share as well! She just announced that she will be participating in the American Birkebeiner, another prestigious Worldloppet race, in February 2024. For the 50th anniversary of the Birkie, she is participating there for the first time.
