Jizerska 50 cancelled due to mild weather and missing snow
Today the organizers of the Czech Worldloppet Member race, Jizerska 50, have gathered to do snow measurements and analyzing the weather forecast in order to take a final decision regarding the fate of the 57th edition of Jizerska 50 planned for next weekend.
Unfortunately, they had to take the sad decision to cancel the race. The weather forecast brings mild weather and on many parts of the tracks is too less snow.
All registered competitors will receive an e-mail with more information later today.
Thanks to an insurance, competitors will get up to 70% of the basic entry fee back.
The tribute to the climbers from the Peru 1970 expedition will probably take place on Sunday 11 February.
