After the tough decision of cancelling 2025’s edition of König Ludwig Lauf planned for coming weekend, the organizers have been working on alternative solutions. Specially, for the Worldloppeters traveling from far away, often overseas, to collect a stamp in their passport. And they found a solution. Here comes how to earn credits at König Ludwig Lauf 2025:

Dear participants,

Despite the cancellation of this year’s König Ludwig Lauf, we still want to offer you the opportunity to train and earn your Worldloppet stamp. Please note that the trail in Ettal is currently difficult to ski due to heavy icing.

With great dedication, we have prepared alternative training tracks for you, where you can collect your stamp. You can pick up your planned start number on Friday 31st Jan 2025, between 1:00 PM and 4:00 PM at our office at Turnerweg 6a in Oberammergau.

To receive the Worldloppet stamp, please complete your distance on the designated training tracks and then send your GPS data by email to: [email protected]

According to the minimum requirements for an alternative stamping race, 50 % of the original distance have to be completed: 25 km for the gold stamp and 10 km for the silver stamp.

You can collect your medal in person on Saturday, February 1, 2025, or Sunday, February 2, 2025, between 2:00 PM and 4:00 PM at our office.
