Birkebeiner Rennet

The Birkebeinerrennet 2025 appears to be organized under very good conditions. The weather is now dry and cold and will offer the very best conditions for the 9000 participants. Sun and very good tracks will be offered for all.

It has been necessary to shuffle some more snow on the start and the finish areas which are the lowest points of the track, but the sport manager Mr Tor Skraastad can report tracks of the very best standard after some concerns last week due to mild weather.

Birken is pleased to see an increasing interest for the epic race both from norwegian market and foreign markets. About 20% of participants are from foreign countries, mostly from Europe, but also from USA, Canada and even New Zealand or China.

Also the skate Birken is showing growing figures as skating seems to become more popular also among Nordic skiers.
