1. What are the most memorable parts of your Tartu-Finlandia trip 2025?
Hannes: I was immediately captivated by the cityscape in Tartu and impressed by the river promenade with its many restaurants. The cultural offerings, diverse museums, are truly fantastic. In Lahti the jewel for winter sports enthusiasts is the Sport Center, within walking distance of the city center and countless kilometers of cross-country ski trails. As well, the selection and expertise of the sports shops is excellent.
2. And what do you think about Lahti as a travel destination?
Lahti is well-organized, and you can find your way around quickly. The Finnish sauna culture is truly amazing and a must-do as well as ice bathing. Lahti boasts a top culinary offering with many excellent restaurants.
3. What is your main reason for traveling all over the world to ski?
For me, the Worldloppet races are always a fantastic combination of athletic challenge and cultural exploration. The shared exchange with cross-country skiers from all over the world makes each destination special in its own way.
