Where the old meets the new – Tartu Maraton Vintage

Originally planned as a jubilee event every five years, the vintage race of Tartu Maraton quickly won skiers’ hearts — and now takes place every winter.

Held on the day before the classic races, the 31 km Vintage course follows the original rolling trail. The course master also prepares a specially widened track for wooden skis, ensuring an authentic glide.

For many, it’s about tradition and connection to the roots of skiing. All who have skied the Marcialonga Story know what we’re talking about!

The Vintage cruise is also part of the Worldloppet calendar, earning participants a silver stamp in their passport.  And for those heading to the classic start line on Sunday, it’s a great way to enjoy the course in a different rhythm.

Tartu Maraton 2026 weekend:

  • Saturday, February 14 – Tartu Maraton Vintage and FT 31 km, races for kids
  • Sunday, February 15 – 31 and 63 km CT
