Merino Muster

Three weeks to go and world-class trails are groomed for Merino Muster

The countdown is officially on – just 3 weeks to go to a new Worldloppet season in New Zealand. In just three weeks, skiers from across New Zealand and around the world will come together at Snow Farm for the 2026 Merino Muster.

“Our course is looking incredible, with fresh snow, pristine grooming, and kilometers of world-class trails ready to welcome competitors of all abilities. Set amongst the breathtaking landscapes of New Zealand’s spectacular high country, there’s no better place to experience cross-country skiing.”, says Pip Gillespie from the OC.

Whether taking on the 42 km, 21 km, or the John Lee Memorial 5 km, there’s a challenge waiting for everyone — from first-time skiers to seasoned Worldloppet racers.

The Merino Muster is more than a race; it’s a celebration of adventure, community, and the unique spirit of Snow Farm. Enjoy outstanding skiing, unforgettable alpine scenery, and the warm hospitality that has made this one of New Zealand’s most iconic winter events.
