König Ludwig Lauf forced to second cancellation in a row
The German state Bavaria, the home of König Ludwig Lauf has announced the desaster situation & has tightened the lockdown. Under these circumstances the OC of the König Ludwig Lauf had to announce the cancellation of the 2021’s edition.
This is hitting the organizers particularly hard, because this is cancellation number two on a row – in 2020 the weather situation made the race impossible.
“Is is not possible to carry out a safe race for all participants – despite big efforts from our side. After the cancellation in 2020, this is another major setback for us, with big financial damage, as we are a voluntarily based club.”, says board member, Marc Schauberger.
From 2nd January 2021 on, the registered participants can find a form, to claim a partial refund of their entry fee on the König Ludwig Lauf website. But the organizers asked all participants to think about donating their paid entry fee and leave it for the club, to help the König Ludwig Lauf to survive.
