In a few days, you can start to collect your seven virtual races for becoming a Virtual Racer. The Virtual Racing League is going to continue on the 29th December with the Virtual Vasaloppet China. Now also Japan has announced the organization of a virtual race: the Fun on Sapporo Virtual Race.

“We planned and prepared to hold the 41st Sapporo Skimarathon on February 7th 2021. But we had to make the heartbreaking decision to cancel the races because of the COVID-19 pandemic. For its replacement, we will hold the virtual race.”, quotes the organizer.

The virtual event will take pace from 7th February to 7th March and the registration for it is already open, until January 22nd.

The offered distances are 50km, 25km, 11km, 5km, 3km & 100m for 12-year-olds and younger. The distances can be done skiing, roller skiing, snowshoeing, running, walking and biking.

For the participation you will get a medal, race bib, badge, record certificate and special socks for the long distances (50 & 25 km). For the short distances (11, 5 & 3 km) you won’t get a medal, but the other prizes.

The entry fee goes from 1000 JPY (apx 7 Euro) for long distance to 500 JPY (apx 3,5 €). Attention: There is a limited starting field.
