Here is latest info about requirements country by country, updated as new info is available.

WL Passports are available in our e-shop every WL member race’s office in 20 countries. The price of a WL Passport may vary in different countries. The cheapest way is always to pay by bank transfer, by Credit Card or in cash (for example from the race office during the race), because then you do not have to pay the bank fees. In Tartu Maraton office (WL Office location) the price is € 33 (incl VAT) and the passport can be ordered by mail, paid either in cash or by Credit Card.

For checking you WL Passports number please register as a user of MYLOPPET, which is digital version of your passport. In addition to your passport number you can see there all your race results, e-shop orders and other statistics. Even Worldloppet Master and Virtual Racer diplomas are available for print and sharing.

There is no time limit set how quickly one has to become a WL Master. It may take 1-2 years or 30 or more years – your WL Passport is valid until you have been recognised as a WL Master, only then the passport loses its validity.

If a race is shortened, not more than 50% of original length, it will be still valid for a WL stamp. If a race is cancelled – no stamp. The rule is that a skier will get a stamp only if he/she completed the race and the result is registered in the official result list. If you participated but did not complete – no stamp. If a friend skied under your name – neither of you will get a stamp, because according to race rules the result is disqualification. If you completed the race and got stamp in the passport but your result was later disqualified for any reasons, this result will be invalid for a Master title. In those cases even if you managed to get a stamp on race location, the validity of each stamp will be rechecked in WL Office according to final result lists, when you apply for a WL Master title.
Virtual races and summer calendar races are not valid for Worldloppet Master title.

It is highly recommended to take a stamp to the WL passport immediately after finishing the race. Passports usually stamped in finish locations or race offices. Only a stamp in the passport is not enough – race date, distance, time and place have to be filled in also, because according to this information the validity of the stamp will be rechecked in WL Office. Ask latest information from bib hand-out desk at the race location about the WL desk location on the race day to avoid later confusion.

It is possible to stamp WL passport retrospectively in WL Office, but only if the skier sends punctual information about every completed race (race name, year of participation, distance, and ranking or finish time). The stamps of WL member races are valid from the next year after admission of the race to Worldloppet, but stamps of WL short races are valid since 1994/1995 season only.

The easiest way is to sign up as a MYLOPPET user to see what data Worldloppet office has about your participations and indicate which races from this list you want to be inserted into your passport. If any race result is missing from your MYLOPPET records, please add proof of participation when sending stamping requests.

Races can be connected to your passports digitally. For this again, indicate which races from MYLOPPET records you want to be connected to your passport.

You have to inform WL Office about it. If your passport is recorded at purchase correctly, you can see your passport number in MYLOPPET. In this case you do not need to buy duplicate, just let us know which races from your records to connect with your passport. In this case you will have only digital version of your records. If you still would like to have also passport paper version, you need to purchase new passport and WL office will issue you a duplicate. Please make according note when placing order.

To apply for the title of a WL Master, WL passport should be sent to the WL Office by post or copy of all pages via e-mail. In office the validity of all stamps will be rechecked. If any race results are not inserted to your passport, give a note. In order to be included in the current year’s WL Masters’ list, WL Passport should reach WL Office before May 1.

WL Master diploma, gold-plated pin will be mailed to this WL Master and his/her name free of charge. In addition, each WL Master has an opportunity to order a personal WL gold/silver-plated medal and customized sportswear with title number or/and name via e-shop . WL Medal and souvenirs can be ordered also retrospectively.

WL Master diploma will be also available for download in MYLOPPET, where you can see also list of races connected to your passport and lots of other statistics.
