La Transju’ 2027: Registration Opens for a New Chapter in the Jura Mountains
Registration is officially open for La Transju’ 2027, taking place on 13–14 February 2027 in the beautiful Jura Mountains of France. The upcoming edition will not only bring another exciting Worldloppet weekend – it will also mark the beginning of a new chapter for one of France’s most legendary cross-country ski events.

Entry includes much more than the race itself. Participants benefit from timing, professionally prepared trails, refreshments, technical assistance, medical and safety services, changing-bag transport, ski storage and post-race treatments provided by physiotherapists and osteopaths. Every participant will also receive a Transju’ gift and finisher medal.

Special benefits for Worldloppet skiers
Worldloppet passport holders can once again look forward to some additional hospitality in France.
Worldloppet participants receive free transportation to the start, reimbursed after registration, as well as a special Worldloppet welcome with coffee and croissants and an exclusive gift for passport holders.
Skiers planning their Worldloppet journey early can also benefit from the first preferential entry fee until 15 November 2026.
A new 50 km course from 2027
The biggest change comes with the course itself. From 2027 onwards, La Transjurassienne will introduce a new reference course of 50 km between Lamoura and Les Rousses, concentrating the race in the heart of the Haut-Jura.
The decision is a response to increasingly unpredictable snow conditions. Between 2016 and 2026, only one edition could be held on the historic Lamoura–Mouthe course. Six editions required adapted courses, while four were canceled, including the COVID-19 cancellation in 2021.
By concentrating the event in an area with more reliable snow conditions, the organizers aim to provide greater stability for future editions and improve their ability to prepare and protect the most sensitive parts of the course.
For international participants, the new concept also offers another important advantage: more certainty when planning a Worldloppet trip. Instead of waiting to see which course will be possible, skiers will know months in advance which challenge they are preparing for.

The distance changes – the Transju’ spirit remains
Adapting to changing winters is becoming an important challenge for cross-country skiing events around the world. For La Transju’, the new course is about securing the future of the event while preserving everything that has made it special for generations of skiers.
The Jura Mountains, the volunteers, the atmosphere along the trails, the challenge of long-distance skiing and the emotions at the finish line remain at the heart of La Transjurassienne.
