Demino Ski Marathon

While everybody is preparing for the New Year, Demino prepares to the 9th traditional international Demino Ski Marathon, Worldloppet-member since 2012, that will take place on March, 12-13.
Today, three months prior to the event, Demino has got 20% more entries for the marathon weekend, 50 km FT and 25 km FT races, than last year. Big race of big Russia has already gathered skiers from 44 regions of Russia. Skier from Murmansk to Kamchatka, from Khanty-Mansiysk to Smolensk will start the race together with representatives of India, Canada, Great Britain, Netherlands. Marathoners from 16 countries have registered for Demino.
Lars Hannes Larsson, 26xWorldloppet Master and author of “Cross-Country Skiing Around the World”, is an honorable participant of the Demino Marathon. In 2016 Hannes Larsson will be 85 years old and it will be his first race in Demino. He will ski 75 km on the marathon weekend. By the way: Hannes Larsson already finished at least 260 marathons!
The Demino Marathons team has sent invitations and now negotiating with the leading cross-country skiers, members of National teams, and Olympic champions about participation in the marathon. So we can wait expectantly to see who will start in Demino.
In 2016, the Demino Marathons Organizing Committee will carry out an online auction of Lucky Bibs. The skiers will have a chance to purchase Lucky Bibs like 555, 777, 1000 with their names printed on the bib. This bib will be a good souvenir as well as a medal for all finishers. Design of the medal is already created but will be kept in secret before the race.
Early-bird entries before December, 31 will have a discount for the entry fees. Online registration is open until March the 4th.
