400 skiers await brilliant conditions for tomorrow’s Vasaloppet China
Tomorrow (4th Jan) the Vasaloppet China is going to kick off the Worldloppet winter season. The 50 km classic course is leading the participants through the woods and over the lakes of Jingyuetan National Forest Park. 415 skiers have registered, all of them locals, as traveling to China is still not possible.

The participants await brilliant conditions in Changchun: The tracks are well groomed and weather forecast predicts sunshine the whole day. The temperatures are quite cold in the morning with -18 degrees, but climb up to -10 degrees around midday.
In 2022 the start and finish area is going to be located next to the Vasa Museum for the first time. The impressive snowsculptures around the start and finish remain. Again numerous artists and workmen created these astonishing and typical monuments out of snow, to give the Vasaloppet China its very own start and finish feeling.

Tomorrow’s race day will also be the 20 anniversary of Vasaloppet China. For internationals who still want to be part of the 20th edition, the organizers offer a virtual edition of the race. Everybody can join from everywhere around the world. Registration is open.
