Merino Muster 2022 celebrating its comeback to international skiing
Finally, the international flags of all Worldloppet nations could have been hoisted at Snow Farm New Zealand. The Merino Muster 2022 today has taken place with almost 200 participants coming from all around the world. The weather was just New Zealandish: Every five minutes differently. Which started with fog and even snowfalls has turned out into a skiing day with sunshine.

The winners are coming from New Zealand: Nicole David won the ladies competition in a time of 2:41:11 and a gap of 4:03 to second placed Alanna Butler. The third place goes to Sonja Mueller.

Not very surprisingly the victory in the men’s race goes to local hero and Olympic biathlonist Campbell Wright. He finished in an incredible time of 01:59:25. Second placed Ross Hamilton from Australia arrived the finish 19:56 later. Another 4:44 later place number three – Ian Hardenbergh – jumped on the podium.
