Amanda Bohlin and Østen Brovold Midtsundstad win Cykelvasan 90 2025

Cykelvasan 90, Sweden’s largest mountain bike race and a highlight of the Vasaloppet Summer Week, saw thrilling sprint finishes in both the men’s and women’s competitions on Saturday, August 9.

Sweden’s Amanda Bohlin claimed her second Cykelvasan title, narrowly defeating Bosnia and Herzegovina’s Lejla Njemcevic by one second in a dramatic finale. In the men’s race, Norway’s Østen Brovold Midtsundstad secured victory — and a new course record of 2:35:59 — just ahead of Sweden’s Viktor Lindqvist.

This year’s Cykelvasan attracted 15,000 participants across various events, with 72 women and 350 men in the elite competition. The 95 km route from Sälen to Mora offered near-perfect racing conditions, featuring the traditional Vasaloppet Arena course. The event delivered high-paced action, tactical teamwork, and international podiums, reflecting Cykelvasan’s growing reputation as one of the premier off-road cycling challenges in Europe.

The Vasaloppet Summer Week continues next weekend with the running events, welcoming over 7,000 participants to the legendary Vasaloppet Arena. Full race details, more info and results from Cykelvasan 90 can be found on the Vasaloppet homepage and the Worldloppet Vasaloppet race page.
