American Birkebeiner Party fully in swing
The American Birkebeiner International Bridge is set up opening the finish lane on Hayward main street. Already now the finish area is packed with people, the bars and restaurants are welcoming the skiers of the American Birkebeiner. The Birkie week of events has already started yesterday with thousands of skiers participating in the Open Track event. Continuing today with the dogs races, children’s and youth races and the Giant Ski Relay.
On Friday the short distance races are going to take place. But before, we are going to open the day with the famous Worldloppet Breakfast – all Masters and Passportholders are invited.
On Saturday it’s time for the main races, the 50 km skating and 55 km classic style race. You can find the whole program here.
