Brigadoi and Boerjesjoe triumph at Dolomitenlauf 2023 Classic Race

In total about 1300 skiers coming from 30 different nations have participated in this year’s Dolomitenlauf. After the skating racres yesterday, today the classic technique was standing on the program. Same as yesterday, it was a great race day: Cold but sunny and another few centimeters of fresh snow over the night. The winners are coming from Italy and Sweden.

When we talked about victory party of the French men yesterday, today we have to talk about Italians who were dominating the field. Seven of 12 possible podium places are going to Italy. In the men’s race it was Mauro Brigadoi who decided the final sprint to his advantage. In 2020 it was him, who missed the victory at Dolomitenlauf due to a crash on the finish lane. But this year he won. Fabian Stocek from Czech Republic finished second, ahead of another Italian, Francesco Ferrari.

In the ladies’ race it was a Swede who claimed the victory, even tough she is skiing for the Italian Team Internorm. Two and a half minutes later, Adela Rocarcova from Czech Republic finished second. Third place went to Austria, to Anna Schmidhofer.
