Canadian Winter awaits 2500 skiers at Gatineau Loppet 2025 coming weekend
The Gatineau Park near the million inhabitants city Ottawa is covered in white. The winter in Canada was great so far and also for the upcoming race weekend, the forecast has snow and freezing temperatures on the program. Everything set for Gatineau Loppet 2025.
The 47th edition of the Canadian Worldloppet event is going to host a silver (27km) and a gold (50 km) race in both techniques coming weekend. More than 2500 skiers from all around the globe are awaited, among them numerous Worldloppeters. On Saturday evening they are invited to the Worldloppet Welcome Cocktail (4:40 pm Mont-bleu High School).

- Gripwax: Lightly roughen base with 120 grit sandpaper, iron in VG35 green Base Wax, lightly cork and let cool a few minutes. Then apply 2 thin layers of V40 blue grip wax, corking between layers. Then apply 3-4 thin layers of VP40 blue or V40 blue grip wax, corking between each layer.

- Forecast and snow conditions: Overnight low -11 °C, temperature at morning race start -9 °C. New snow falling on top of groomed new snow forecasted, temperature rising to -8 °C during the day. Humidity levels high in the 90%. New snow expected throughout the day with moderate wind.
- Fluorine-free products only.
- Glidewax: Apply PS6 or HS6 or TS6B hot wax, let dry for a minimum 1 hour, scrape and brush. (Optional) Top with TSP6 powder, and/or TS6 liquid, and/or TST6 Turbo with roto merino brush for highest racing performance.
