Dolomitenlauf ready to host its 53rd edition
Coming weekend, the Worldloppet winter season is going to start also here in Europe. The Austrian Dolomitenlauf is standing on the program with a FT day on Saturday and CT day on Sunday.
Both techniques will be skied over 42km, 21km and the new format called Easyrace over 5km. The races will take place in Obertilliach, where more snow has been falling over the past days. Start and finish is located in the Biathlon Center.

Favorites from Austria, Italy and France
The snow secure venue has attracted some of the best names of long-distance skiing. Specially from Central Europe: Bastien Poirrier from France already has celebrated a victory at Dolomitenlauf, same as Austrias best long-distance skier Anna Seebacher: “For me and my team (Adidas XCS Team) the Dolomitenlauf is a must-do every year. I hope, I can go for good results again”, she says. The Italian skiers Mauro Brigadoi, Francesco Ferrar, Lorenzo Busin and Christian Lorenzi also have signed up.

Great marathon skiing weekend ahead
Chief of the OC, Franz Theurl, is talking about 45cm to 1,2m of snow laying in Obertilliach and perfectly prepared tracks. Over the past days, more snow has been falling. The weather forecast for the weekend is promising two great days of marathon skiing: Sunshine, cold and winter landscapes.
