Excellent skiing conditions in Australia
With thirty days to go until the 2014 Kangaroo Hoppet and a base of over a metre of packed snow on the Falls Creek cross country trails, Australians are enjoying some of the best skiing for many years. This early morning picture from the start area of the Kangaroo Hoppet, with classic tracks set for last Sunday’s Victorian Junior Championships, shows just how nice skiing conditions are ‘down under’.
Skiers from 23 nations have already entered for this year’s event giving real meaning to the phrase the fourth Saturday in August when the Cross Country Ski World comes to Falls Creek.
