Finlandia Ski Marathon and Sibelius Hall Lahti support kids’ sports

Sibelius Hall Lahti performs on Friday, February 20th at 14 o’clock in
the concert hall  visual live music concert. From every entrance
ticket goes through Finlandia Ski Marathon five (5) Euros  to support
children and youth winter sports.

Sibelius Hall Director Mr. Taneli Tuomaala: “We have long planned with
producer  Mr. Vesa Ruotonen  a reunion of Jean Sibelius’s music, image
and Concert Organ.. The in February presented Sibelius Finland
Experience event is part of Sibelius’s 150th Anniversary. The first
show is during the Finlandiahiihto week.  We are also very   happy  to
support children’s and young people’s leisure activities  – what could
be finer. “

The Secretary-General of Finlandia Ski Marathon Ms. Tiina Hernesniemi:
“This is the first time Finlandia Ski Marathon and Sibelius Hall are
working together. Also, the 2015 skiing medal has Sibelius Theme, and
is so far unique.”

Organist  Vesa Koskimaa.plays on Concert Organ music by Jean Sibelius:
Karelia suite Valse Triste and Finlandia. The pieces are illustrated
by Erik Bruun design, Finnish Nature and art, the Northern Lights have
been included.
The duration of the concert without intermission is a little less than an hour.

International music magazines rank the Sibelius Hall to the top ten
halls in the World. The hall is just at the big Lake Vesijärvi in the
Lahti harbor.
