Finlandia Ski Marathon will take place – with our without natural snow
Although there is no natural snow in Lahti at the moment, we have happy news for ski enthusiastics: Finlandia Ski Marathon will take place on February 22-23. Weather has been cold and also future
forecasts are favorable for producing artificial snow.
At Lahti there is currently a short ski course on artificial snow. Snow making is in process all the time, it will be kept in storage to ensure Finlandia Ski Marathon. “We will decide on February 4th about the ski courses. In case it will not be snowing by then, we’ll decide also on snow making and new route”, says secretary-general Tiina Hernesniemi.
