Dolomiten Lauf

Italian & Estonian winners at today’s Dolomiten Classic Race

Sunshine, winter landscape, perfectly groomed trails & around zero degrees escorted the start signal today at 10:00 in Obertilliach for the Dolomiten Classic Race. For the first time the finish area was located in the village center of Obertilliach & brought a challenging final hill into the race.

The main race over 42 km was decided only on the finish lane: The Italian Francesco Ferrari had more power left for the final hill & crossed the finish 7 seconds before the French athlete of Team Haute Savoie Nordic, Antoine Auger. The Austrians celebrate their local athlete, Christian Baldauf, who managed to bring Austrian on the 3rd podium place.

“Congratulations to the organizers, the tracks have been perfect. For the final I had more power left and I am more than happy about this victory!”, said Ferrari, who smiled just like the sun.

The Estonian Reeda Tuula won the the ladie’s competition in front of the Norwegian, Marit Brondbo & the German, Amelie Heinrich.
