5 or 50 km: Trails for the whole family
You can easily grab your race fee. Whether for a route for experienced marathon runners or for a short race for casual joggers, at jiz50.cz or behejlesy.cz. The short route is 11 kilometers long and you won’t be crawling on all four; the route is suitable for any even just slightly experienced runner. If you want to get more out of it, consider the 23-kilometer route.
On both routes you will see the dominant sights of the Jizera Mountains, but the more kilometers you run, the more you will see! And if that’s still not enough, you can take on the ultramarathon 50 kilometers, which follows the course of the longest race of the winter the Jizerská 50. It might seem like a distance that only the highly trained runners can run, but if you start training early, nothing is impossible! So, will you try to run in the summer what you can manage on skis in winter?

The 50 km route can be described as: cross-country skiing in the winter – running in the summer! You already know the unforgettable places in the Jizera Mountains, such as Hřebínek, Smědava, Olivetská hora, Kristiánov or Kneipa. But not without snow cover. Believe it or not, they are all worth seeing. But it won’t be easy, the ultramarathoners will have to cope with the elevation of about 800 meters… but my oh my, what a reward! And if you’re not feeling up to running the 50, you’ll still see most of the iconic spots on the shorter routes too.
