After the sad news from Germany, we now have to announce the second cancellation of the season: La Transju, French Worldloppet member, planned for February 10th and 11th has to take the difficult decision to cancel the 2024 edition.

Here is the message of the organizers:

Due to the lack of snow on the Jura massif and the mild weather conditions forecast, it is with great regret that we have to take the difficult decision to cancel the 2024 edition of La Transju’ scheduled for February 10 and 11.

Since the beginning of January, we have been monitoring the weather conditions and studying the various options for all the courses. The terrain is currently impassable, and none of the proposed alternative courses can unfortunately be used… We took this decision as soon as possible, aware of the frustration and inconvenience caused by the cancellation.

The 2024 entries are automatically extended to next year, February 8 and 9, 2025.

Despite the wishes and determination of the entire organization team, not to mention the volunteers and partners, we won’t be able to bring you La Transju’.

The Worldloppet circuit is now continuing with the Sapporo Skimarathon coming weekend. The organizers there have announced good conditions on the tracks around Sapporo. A week later, the Czech Jizerska 50 is going to take place. Organizers are confident, that the race will take place as planned, even though they also suffer from wild weather and lack of snow.
