If you like skiing in unspoilt nature, then you should try this race in the middle of the Haut Jura Nature Parc, France. The flagship event of Les Belles Combes is the marathon in Classic technique on Sunday. On the same day Les Belles Combes also proposes a 23km and 12km event.
At Les Belles Combes you can enjoy a whole weekend of XC-skiing, because on Saturday races in Free technique are also scheduled (30km and 12km), aswel as an untimed event on the 12km course. Each race distance consists of a SINGLE loop, to discover the magical setting of the “Hautes Combes”. After the race, all participants are invited for the traditional meal with the locally produced cheese (Bleu de Gex du Haut-Jura). This exceptional setting is at only one hour drive from Geneva Switzerland and 1,5 hours from French cities Lyon, Annecy and Besançon.
