Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow….
For over a week now the Transju track has been covered in snow from start to finish and the snowfalls that were predicted for this week came through allowing us to consolidate the sensitive zones as planned.
No less than 12 track grooming vehicles are active daily all along the Transju track. And by the end of this week, the Transjurassienne course will be marked from start to finish with signs marking –the start and finish areas, directional markers at intersections as well as with distance markers every 2 kilometers indicating the distance left until the finish line.
Basically all weather forecasts are in agreement; heavy snowfalls should hit our area on Thursday and Friday of this week and again on Tuesday, February 3rd, then followed by calm and cold temperatures (although not extreme).
All this leads us be believe that the Transjurassienne events will take place as programmed with all courses and distances on their traditional tracks.
La Transjeune
All spotlights are on the Transjeune that will start tomorrow! Close to 2055 children will gather on Wednesday, January 28th at the Rochat Middle School plateau, sight of the start areas for the Transju’Classic and the Transju’Marathon, for a full day of sport festivities!
