More snowfalls predicted: Kangaroo Hoppet 2024 on the way

“The race office is going off with entries coming in and we are expecting the usual last minute rush as many will enter during the last weeks leading up to the race.”, is the optimistic statement from the Kangaroo Hoppet organizers.

In not even 3 weeks it is time again for cross-country skiing action down under. The Kangaroo Hoppet is going to be hosted on 24th August in Falls Creek, Victoria. With over 20 nationalities already registered to start, it will once again be ‘the fourth Saturday in August – When the world comes to Falls Creek’.

Good snowfalls in mid July followed by an extended cold snap has resulted in great skiing conditions on the lower trails in Sun Valley, out around the lake and up into The Paralyser. Machine packing is being carried out on the remainder of the Hoppet course in the Alpine National Park. With a weather prediction of two more snow falls in the next weeks leading up to the event, that will set everything up perfectly!
