Moseby and Fähndrich win Engadin Skimarathon 2025

It was one of the closest finishes the Engadin Skimarathon has ever seen. Only a toe decided the 55th edition of Switzerland’s most prestigious and the world’s biggest ski marathon in skating style.

The winning toe belongs to Havard Moseby from Oslo, Norway. Right behind him his compatriot Sverre Dahlen Aspenes and Swiss Grond Valerio. “It was a tactical race for sure. It was not too hard the major part of the race. I wanted to be positioned among the first 10 all the time and be among top 3 before the final downhill. My skis were very good today too.“, Moseby said in the finish.

Winning Ladies at Engadin Skimarathon 2025

In the ladies competition we saw a Swiss home victory. Nadine Fähndrich came back home from the World Championships in Trondheim with two bronze medals and immediately also took the victory at the Engadin Skimarathon. Giuliana Werro – 2023’s winner and last year’s second – was leading until the last kilometers, but then Fähndrich – who already was 40 seconds behind her – overtook and sprinted to victory.

“It was so tough for me. I am so tired now! It was a fight from start to finish. I could have seen Giuliana from time to time. I had to fight very hard to make it up to her”, she said in the finish – and one could see that, when she was laying for minutes in the finish. “Now I want to go home finally, rest a bit, and then I will celebrate.”, she added.
