New challenge available: The Virtual Racing League
It is time to talk about positive things again. Over the past weeks we have been working with pressure, to bring you this great news: From now on, you have the possibility, to work on a new and special title. After this season, you may be called “Virtual Racer”.
Your virtual race challenge
We don’t know yet, at how many races it will be possible to collect stamps for your Worldloppet Passport in winter 2021, but we know one thing for sure: Many organizers will offer a virtual race format in addition to their real events.
And just as you know it from the Worldloppet Passport & Master’s system, we also want to connect the virtual race formats. So we founded the Virtual Racing League. The principle is simple: Participate in 7 virtual races and become a Virtual Racer. For this tile, you will receive a diploma & you can order your personal Virtual Racer T-Shirt! Among all who achieve the title, we will raffle great prizes from our partners, like Northug Eyewear.
Over the summer and autumn months, four Worldloppet races have organized such a virtual race (Kangaroo Hoppet Do It Your Way, Ushuaialoppet Virtual Edition, Merino Muster Virtual & MyFossavatn). More races will follow. We will inform you continuously, which races are available for the Virtual Racing League. Of course, the first four virtual races already count for the title. We expect the next events no later than in late December or early January.
Everybody can join. Just log in to the new MyLoppet section on our website & register for the virtual races from our member races and you are part of the game. In addition, you definitely should join the Virtual Racing Facebook Group, where we exchange our experiences & you will be informed about every new race available!
