Online entry for the X Demino Ski Marathon in 2017 opened
On March 04 – 05, 2017 the 10th anniversary of the Traditional International Demino Ski Marathon will be held in the Ski Sport Center Demino, 350 km north of Moscow. During its 10-year-history and its four years as Worldloppet member, the Demino marathon has been growing from 90 to 1,800 participants, and gathered skiers from 40 countries and five continents and almost all regions of Russia at the age from two to 90 years. Among them Olympic medalists like Evgeny Dementiev, Anders Auckland, Alexey Petukhov, Antonella Confortola, etc.
The program of the 10th Demino Ski Marathon
The program of the 10th anniversary and 5th edition as Worldloppet race in 2017 will open on the 4th of March with the 50 km free-style race, considered as FIS-competition, Worldloppet Gold race, and part of the Russialoppet. March 5th, will be a day of classic-style races. First, participants of the BABY-marathon, aged from four to nine years will ski a 1 km race.
Then junior men and ladies will compete at 5 km and 10 km races. The Worldloppet Silver competition of 25 km will complete the program of the second day. For the first time in history, this race will be opened by an interval start.
Registration possibilities
The online registration already started in the beginning of November. It is divided into two periods: November, 7th to December, 31st 2016 and January, 1st to February, 23rd 2017. Also on-site registration and payment will be possible on March, 1st to 3rd.
Last-minute entries for all participants of 50 km FT and 25 km CT races will be available on race days but the number of participants in each race is limited, so better be quick to make sure that you can take part in the Bit Race of Big Russia.
