Season starts in Tartu with FIS World Snow Day

On the 17th of January, 44th Tartu Marathon starts its program with the Official Training and FIS World Snow Day in the finish area in Elva, Tartu County Recreational Sports Centre.
Chief of Course Assar Kütt was able to groome the course for the first time this winter. He said that at the moment there is not enough snow for classic course but the course is skiable in free technique.
For the Official Training and World Snow Day a 4,5 km course will be prepared which will can be skied both ways. This means that a maximum of 9km course is available for the Official Training and different distances are available for children to take part in the World Snow Day.
Official Training will start at 11.00 and finish will be open until 14.00. World Snow Day also takes place in the finish area of the Tartu Maraton and lasts from 11.30 to 13.00. The free registration is possible on the Tartu-Maraton-website, same counts for the 44. Tartu Maraton taking place on the 21st of February with 63 km and 31 km race. More info and registation here.
