Yesterday, the greatest Argentinian cross-country skiing race, the Ushuaia Loppet 2022 has returned. After two years of virtual editions, the Worldloppet season opener was taking place again on snow. At it was a lot of snow. Not only on the perfectly groomed tracks, but also from above.

Freezing temperatures and snowfalls made the Ushuaia Loppet 2022 a tough race. In the end the fastest skier was coming from Brazil: Victor De Lima Santos finished in a time of 2:29:43. He won the race with an impressive gap of almost 26 minutes to second placed Federico Cichero. Third place went to Santiago Burgos, both from Argentina.

The ladie’s competition was won by Kaelyn Williams.
