After the bad news from Argentina, that the Ushuaialoppet had to be cancelled, finally snow arrived in Tierra dell Fuego. The OC was able to groom the tracks of the Marchablanca past friday and created 20 km of well prepared tracks. Also the forecast predicts positive weather condition for the coming days. 

It seems like the Marchablanca, the smaller brother of the Worldloppet main race Ushuaialoppet, the season opener, could be held on Sunday the 21st of August and the OC is confident to stamp Worldloppet silver stamps the coming weekend on race day. “Our winter has been very poor, but luckily conditions have been changing and there’s more snow in the forecast.”, says Pablo Valcheff the OC president and continues, “In Ushuaia, there are still some Worldloppet skiers present, so we hope the conditions allow to start the race!”
