Dolomiten Lauf

The Austrian Worldloppet member, Dolomitenlauf, is about to prepare their summer actions. Cycling is standing on the program for the weekend around the 11th of June. The “dolomite cycling tour” is the most traditional cycling tour in Austria. The track leads through the Lienzer Dolomites crossing 112 km and 1870 m height. Thousands of spectators along the track are cheering every year the participants while the cyclist inhale the atmosphere of the East Tyrol landscapes. This year the dolomite cycling tour celebrates its 30th anniversary.

If 112 km is not hard enough, there is a second competition taking part on the 11th of June: The “SuperGiroDolomiti” is made for those who love the extreme. The track will lead through 3 countries crossing 232 km and 5.234 m height. Many professionals are participating in this tour. The detailed track you can find here.

The day before the race there is a big Kaiserschmarrn-party for all participants and after the race the prize ceremony with special austrian food and good music is also worth a visit. Both, the participants of the dolomite cycling tour and the SuperGiroDolomiti receive cycling trikots as a present.
