The SEB 7th Tartu Rulluisumaraton brought together 260 young skaters

Today, one day before the main race of the SEB 7th Tartu Rulluisumaraton, children races were held with overall 260 little skaters. 101 children participated in TILLUrace (500 meters) and 159 children raced in MINImarathon (3,4 kilometers).

Hawaii Express’ rollerskating teacher, Tonis Tali was pleased to see so many children at the event: “There are more and more participants at the races every year, also at the trainings and one can also see that children learn more and more independently.” Tali believes that the SEB 7th Children races are very good: “It is fun here! Children can race and everyone’s cheery!”.

“If parents see that their child has interest in some sports, parents should support their children!” believes Tali. “If child is good in rollerskating, give him or her chance to come to participate in the races,” inspires Tali parents to bring children to similar events.

One family came even from Riga, to give a chance to the daughter, 9-year-old, Batricia to participate in the MINImarathon and also at tommorow’s Jõgeva children races. “I love skating and I’m fast at it!” she says merrily.

Tomorrow, on August 25th, the main race – SEB 7th Tartu Rulluisumaraton will be held. Distance 48 kilometers rolls from Jogeva to Tartu, shorter distance 19 kilometers rolls from Tabivere to Tartu. Altogether over 1100 skaters are expected to finish the race.
